UPS customers need to switch to UPS Paperless® for commercial invoices to avoid being charged for using paper invoices.
Ongoing regulation changes around the world are increasing the cost to service paper commercial invoices and creating potentially longer handling times.
The surcharge is now planned to be implemented starting April 2024.
Beginning in April 2024, there will be a $1.00 USD surcharge for using paper documents. This fee will increase to $3.00 USD at the beginning of July 2024 and to $5.00 USD at the beginning of October 2024.
