Market holding mainly steady from last week on the calves. Not many yearlings for a good test. Breds and pairs were in good demand. Cows and bulls were mainly steady.
300 good calves consigned for next week. Most of them weaned with shots!

Please get cattle here prior to 8:00 am on Thursday. Beat the shrink and get your cattle here on Tuesday.
We would like to know if your calves are weaned, vaccinated or both. Fill out paper when you bring your cattle to the sale. We would like to be able to share what you have done with your cattle to the buyers.

Anyone needing cattle inspected at the sale barn or otherwise must call ADA dispatch 623-445-0281
Per ADA effective immediately. All cattle coming to AZ. MUST HAVE inspection and permit # before crossing state line. Cattle will be held in quarantine if there are no inspection papers and permit numbers.
All cattle crossing the state line must have a PRIOR import permit (602-542-4293), livestock inspection certificate. If you have any questions, contact the state vet at 602-542-4293.
Cows to be preg checked must be in the yard by Wednesday @ 3:00pm in order to be checked.
Pre -consigned cattle need to be in yard no later than 6.00 P.M. Wed. or they will run late in the sale.
ADA Inspectors will not accept any un-peeled fresh brands or no brands except calves with their mothers or accompanied by a form 1 inspection. Anyone needing cattle inspected at the sale barn or otherwise must call ADA dispatch or livestock officer in your area prior to coming to sale barn. Self inspection excluded.
Do to staff shortage at ADA call your inspector 1 week prior to comming to sale so an appointment can be arranged.
As per ADA: We are no longer accepting fresh brands or no brands unless inspected at point of origin. NO EXCEPTIONS!
As of December 31, 2003, US Secretary of Agriculture announced that effectively immediately USDA will ban all downer cattle from the human food chain. In light of this announcement, effective immediately our market facility will no longer permit non-ambulatory (USDA has defined non-ambulatory as disabled and unable to stand, walk or rise on their own), or bad/cancer eye cattle to be off-loaded at our livestock market nor will they be sold for slaughter.
